The castle and estate accommodation is only available for exclusive use, booked events and weddings, our accommodation is not available for room let as we are not open to the public.
On the estate we can currently have accommodation for 14 bedrooms for 28 overnight guests (a few more if you make use of the single beds in the family rooms or put children up in sofa beds, “z” beds or babies in travel cots that we have onsite). There are 2 suites and 5 bedrooms within the Castle, other guests are accommodated throughout the three cottages on the estate, all of which are just a short walk from the Castle. The overnight accommodation is a private let which can be added onto your wedding package for either a one or two night stay which includes a fully cooked Scottish breakfast.
All bedrooms are equipped with iron and ironing board, towels and a range of quality soaps and shampoos. Complementary tea/coffee making facilities are also supplied.
The Drawing Room

The Guthrie Suite – This room is under refurbishment, the new Guthrie Suite can be viewed at our Open Day on 20th April 2013 from 11am – 2pm
Often the preferred suite for the Bride and Groom. The large bedroom has a kingsize brass bed and a beautiful view of our own private loch. The huge bathroom is fitted with a free standing bath and shower which has a great view over the Walled Garden. The Ladies Lounge, used as the dressing area, has the perfect space for the Bride and Bridesmaids to get ready and is conveniently situated beside the Bridal Suite.
The Brass Suite
This is the perfect bedroom for a set of parents. This large suite consists of a large bedroom with an adjoining sitting room and a private shower room. There is a glorious four poster brass bed in the bedroom and a separate sitting room complete with a sofa bed providing extra accommodation.
The Honeysuckle Room
This delightful room is configured with two single beds; this being our only twin bedroom in the Castle. This light room has its own private corridor and en-suite shower room.
The Thistle
This is another perfect room for a set of parents. This is a spacious and light room and has wonderful views over our private 9-hole Golf Course. This charming large double room has its own adjoining bathroom.
The Heather Room
This lovely double room has a view of the heather garden to the rear of the Castle. The occupants of this room share bathroom facilities with those staying in the Rose room.
The Rose Room
This charming double room is a light and spacious bedroom. This room, next to the Heather Room, is situated in its own quiet corridor. The occupants of this room share bathroom facilities with the Heather Room.
The Bluebell Room
With large windows allowing plenty light and its own fireplace this room gives the real feeling of comfort, it has a double and single bed in the room ideal for a family. Although there is a bathroom situated around the corner with the Thistle room, there is a bathroom complete with shower directly below for more privacy.
On the Estate
Further to our Castle Bedrooms we have three delightful cottages on the estate, which are all close walking distance to the and from the Castle and Pavilion, that can accommodate a further 16 guests.
Carrington Cottage
This quaint little cottage adjoins the beautiful Walled Garden. And in fact until it was transformed to provide overnight accommodation it was the store for the fruit and vegetables produced in the garden in years gone by. There is a double bedroom on the first floor with an en-suite shower room. On the ground floor is a small sitting area and kitchenette.
Hay Cottage
Hay Cottage acts as the “Gate House” to the eastern entrance to the estate – beside the Guthrie Village. This cottage has a double room with its own en-suite shower room and small kitchenette and has a twin room with its own large bathroom.
Chauffeurs Cottage
This is the largest cottage on the estate. It forms part of the stable block complex which is directly across from our function suite and only a 2 minute walk from the Castle. There is a double bedroom downstairs with an en-suite shower room whilst upstairs is a family room with private shower room and a further family room and a double room which share a large shower room. There is a useful kitchen on the ground floor with a large table and benches.
