On the estate we can currently accommodate 28 overnight guests (a few more if you make use of the single beds in the two family rooms we offer or put children up in sofa beds  “z” beds or babies in travel cots that we have).  There are 3 suites and 3 bedrooms within the castle, other guests are accommodated throughout the 4 cottages on the estate, all of which are just a short walk from the castle.  A certain amount of overnight accommodation is included in the various packages we offer, those over and above this number are charged for on a per person per night, bed and breakfast rate which can be found on our tariff page - please ask about reductions for children.

All bedrooms are equipped with an iron and ironing board, towels and a range of quality soaps and shampoos.  Complementary tea/coffee making facilities are also supplied.

Within the Castle we offer up to 6 bedrooms for overnight guests.  Each room has complementary tea/coffee facilities and an iron / ironing board.  “Z” Beds and baby travel cots can be provided for children and babies.

The Guthrie Suite

Often the preferred suite for the Bride and Groom.  The huge bathroom is fitted with a free standing bath and double shower; it has a great view over the walled garden.  The large bedroom has a kingsize brass bed and a wonderful view over the loch.

The Brass Suite
This large suite consists of a large bedroom with an adjoining sitting room and a private shower room.  There is a glorious four poster brass bed in the bedroom; then there is a sofa bed in the sitting room providing extra accommodation for children if required.

The Honeysuckle Room

This delightful room can be configured with either a double or twin beds; it has its own private corridor and en-suite shower room.

The Thistle Room
This charming large double bedroom has plenty of space for a travel cot or “z-bed” if required. The adjoining bathroom has a combination shower over the bath.

The Heather Room
This lovely double room has view of the heather garden to the rear of the castle.  The occupants of this room share bathroom facilities with those staying in the Rose room.

The Rose Room

This is a freshly decorated double room.  The occupants of this room share bathroom facilities with those staying in the Heather room.

There are four cottages on the estate all just a short walk from the Castle:

Carrington Cottage
This quaint little cottage adjoins the beautiful walled garden, and in fact until it was transformed to provide overnight accommodation it was the store for the fruit and vegetables produced in the garden in years gone by.  There is a double bedroom on the first floor with a shower room.  On the ground floor is a small sitting area where we have a sofa bed if you need to accommodate extra overnight guests!

Hay Cottage
Hay cottage acts as the “gate house” to the eastern entrance to the estate - the one in Guthrie Village.  The cottage has two double bedrooms one with a small private shower room and the other with a large bathroom.

Chauffeur’s Cottage
This is the largest cottage on the estate.  It forms part of the stable block complex which is directly across from our function suite and only a 2 minute walk from the castle.  There is a double bedroom downstairs with private shower room whilst upstairs is a family room with private shower room and a further family room and double rom which share a larger shower room”.  There is a useful kitchen on the ground floor with a large table and benches.
