As you will see Guthrie Castle is situated on the east coast of Scotland about halfway between Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

The nearest international airports are Edinburgh and Aberdeen (both about 80 minutes drive), whilst Glasgow is about 100 minutes.

Dundee, which is only about 30 minutes from the Castle, has a regional airport that has flights direct from London City and many other smaller airports. The nearest railway station is Arbroath – about 15 minutes from the Castle.

Once in Dundee you have a choice of coming to the Castle via either Arbroath or Forfar (Guthrie is equidistant from both).

If coming via Arbroath, as you enter the town turn left at the McDonalds following the signs for "RM Condor" / Brechin.

About 9 miles out for Arbroath you will come to a staggered cross roads, Friockheim to the right and Forfar to the left - take the left turn to Forfar.

If coming via Forfar drive right through the town following the signs for A932 to Arbroath.

If coming from Arbroath you will pass a small garage on the right before coming to a sign for Guthrie Castle Golf Club pointing right. Take this turning and follow the road for about 3/4 mile and you will find the East Gate on your left.

If coming from Forfar, about 10 miles out of the town after passing a right turn to Letham, and a series of tight bends at Mildens you will see a large white house on the right - the main castle entrance is on the left opposite this house - just past a sign for "Guthrie Castle Golf Club" which if followed will take you to our East Gate.
