Romantic Castle Wedding “Package A”, which, like all weddings at Guthrie, will include exclusive use of the Castle. It is restricted to services on either a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
On arrival at the airport or railway station you will be warmly greeted by a uniformed driver who will drive you to the Castle in a stylish S-Type Jaguar or perhaps one of the latest Range Rovers. Both Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports are about 75 minutes away, Dundee City airport is only 30 minutes away and the nearest railway station 10 minutes. Alternatively we can collect you from a local hotel if you have arrived in the area earlier.
At the Castle you will be met at the door by our in-house wedding planner who after showing you round the library, drawing room and dining room will take you to The Guthrie Suite. Once you have settled in light refreshments will be served whilst you prepare for your wedding service. Hairstylists and beauticians can be organised if required.
You have the option of a civil ceremony or a religious one, members of staff will gladly act as your witnesses. A piper will lead you from your room to either our delightful chapel or “lover’s nook” at the top of the walled garden. A bridal bouquet and the groom’s button hole are provided. After the service Champagne will be served and you will be asked to cut your wedding cake before being whisked off by your photographer to capture some memories to take home with you to show your friends.

In the early evening you will be served your romantic “wedding breakfast” in the castle dining room. In the morning you will have a choice of a full traditional Scottish or Continental breakfast. Your driver will then collect you and take you back to the airport / railway station.
